between the two countries will grow further in the days
to come.
Mentioning
Bangladesh's fame in producing different
quality products for international market
including sea going vessels, readymade
garments, medicine, jute goods and
melamine, he said the people of Benin
could be benefited by using Bangladeshi
products.
He requested the envoy to put his efforts
towards increasing cooperation between
Bangladesh and Benin and boosting the
existing volume of trade between the two
countries.
Professor Iajuddin also mentioned the
Bangladesh's role in international
peacekeeping by contribution one of the
largest peacekeepers' team in the United
Nation Peacekeeping Mission.
The new Ambassador of Benin expressed his
satisfaction over the present relations
between Bangladesh and Benin and sought
economic and technical cooperation of
Bangladesh in the development activities
of Benin.
He also underscored the need for frequent
exchange of business and official
delegations and holding trade fairs to
boost bilateral trade and economic
relations between the two countries.
Sedozan Jean-Claude Apithy, who resides
in Beijing, also praised Bangladesh's
role in the UN Peacekeeping Mission and
different international platforms.
