The President shall be elected by the members of the Parliament. He shall be the Head of the State and take precedence over all other persons in the State [Article 48(1) & (2) of the Constitution].The President shall hold Office for a term of five years from the date on which he enters upon his office. Such tenure of office shall not be for more than two terms, whether or not consecutive [Article 50(1)(2) of the Constitution ].

A person shall not be qualified for election as President if he-

(a) is less than thirty-five years of age; or
(b) is not qualified for election as a member of Parliament; or
(c) has been removed from the office of President by impeachment under the Constitution. [Article 48 (4)]
