Chief of Army Staff General Moeen U Ahmed today called on President Professor Dr Iajuddin Ahmed at Bangabhaban.

During the meeting, the army chief informed the President about various on going development programmes of Bangladesh army and the relief and rehabilitation works by its members in cyclone-hit coastal districts.

He briefed the President about the progress in preparing voters enrolment with photographs and national identity (ID) cards.

General Moeen also apprised the President of preparation of holding the march past at National Parade Ground on the occasion of Independence Day on March 26.

President Iajuddin expressed his satisfaction at the activities of the army.

Military Secretary to the President Major General Mohd Aminul Karim, Secretary Md Sirajul Islam and Press Secretary Abdul Awal Howlader were present.
