President
hosts reception on Buddha Purnima

President Professor Dr
Iajuddin Ahmed and his wife Professor Dr Anwara
Begum today hosted a reception at Bangabhaban in
honour of members of the Buddhist community on
the occasion of Buddha Purnima, the biggest
religious festival of the community.

Affairs Adviser Raja Debashish Roy, President of
Bangladesh Buddhist Federation Dr Sukamol Barua,
Vice-President Buddhist Welfare Trust AK Mong,
ambassadors, high commissioners and diplomats of
different Buddhist-populated countries to
Bangladesh, including Japan, Thailand, Myanmar, |

Sri Lanka and Bhutan, representatives from
different international organisations,
leaders of Buddhist organisations, and
religious leaders, elite people,
journalists, professionals, and high civil
and military officials belonging to the
Buddhist community attended the reception.
The President and his wife exchanged
greetings with the invited guests, and
wished their happy and prosperous life.
