President Professor Dr Iajuddin Ahmed today administered the oath to newly appointed Chief Justice MM Ruhul Amin at Darbar Hall of Bangabhaban.

Chief Adviser of the caretaker government Dr Fakhruddin Ahmed, Speaker Barrister Jamiruddin Sircar and outgoing Chief Justice Md Ruhul Amin were present.

Advisers, special assistants to the Chief Adviser, Chief Election Commissioner, Judges of the Supreme Court, Chiefs of three services, Attorney General, concerned secretaries, vice chancellors of different universities, former chief justices, editors, eminent lawyers and journalists and senior military and civil officials were present on the occasion.

Cabinet secretary Ali Imam Majumder conducted the oath taking ceremony.
