A delegation of Dhaka University (DU) today called on President Professor Dr Iajuddin Ahmed at Bangabhaban.

The delegation, led by Vice Chancellor Professor Dr SMA Faiz, thanked the President for his cooperation in smooth  holding of the 44th convocation of the university.

 They also apprised the President of housing and transport problems of the university students, teachers and officials and sought his cooperation in solving the problems.

The President gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured of extending his all out cooperation in solving the
problems of the university.

Professor Iajuddin urged the university authority to undertake initiatives to protect different historical installations on the university premises including SM Hall
building.

He also expressed his satisfaction at different academic and research activities at the university, terming it as world
standard.

Pro-Vice Chancellor of DU Professor Dr AFM Yusuf Haider and Treasurer Professor Syed Abul Kalam, among other, were present as the members of the delegation.

Military Secretary to the President Major General Mohd Aminul Karim, Secretary Md Sirajul Islam and Press Secretary
Abdul Awal Howlader were present.
