He said a website has also been launched
where people could give their opinion on the
proposed budget.
Emerging out of the meeting, Mirza Azizul
Islam told the journalists at Bangabhaban
that the proposed budget has been prepared
by giving priority to expanding social
protection network and private sector and
creation of new jobs by keeping in mind the
current global situation.
He said the budget would be realistic,
business-friendly and pro-growth.
Planning Secretary Jafar Ahmed Chowdhury,
Finance Secretary Dr Mohammad Tareq and
Chairman of National Board of Revenue (NBR)
and Secretary of Internal Resources Division
Md Abdul Mazid were present. Military
Secretary to the President Major General
Mohd Aminul Karim, Secretary of the
President's Office Md Sirajul Islam and
Press Secretary to the President Abdul Awal
Howlader were also present.
