President Prof Dr Iajuddin Ahmed
today said Islam doesn't support disorder and
anarchism as it is a religion of peace, harmony,
tolerance and humanity.
"The Great Prophet Hazrat Mohammad (SM), the
concrete symbol of peace, welfare and kindness,
during his life cherished and preached the teachings
of Islam, and made it sustainable at the social and
state systems," he added.

inaugural ceremony of the fortnight long programme
of Islamic Foundation, Bangladesh, on the |

Eid-e-Miladunnabi, 1429 Hizri year, at Baitul
Mokarram National Mosque in the city.
Adviser for Law, Justice and Parliamentary and
Religious Affairs AF Hassan Ariff addressed it as
the special guest.
Religious Secretary Muhammad Ataur Rahman and
Director General of the Islamic Foundation Muhammad
Fazlur Rahman also spoke. Renowned singer Mustafa
Zaman Abbasi rendered religious songs.
Military Secretary to the President Major General
Mohammad Aminul Karim, Secretary Md Sirajul Islam
and Press Secretary Abdul Awal Howlader were
present.
Referring to the initiatives of the Great Prophet,
including establishment of social justice, women's
rights, social equality, human rights irrespective
of race, caste and creed, and balanced distribution
of wealth, Prof Iajuddin said, "Islam teaches us
sacrifices, instead of earthly pleasure."
"The ideology of Rasul Karim (SM) always inspires
the human beings to the way of truth and justice for
all times for multi- purpose welfare," he added.
Quoting a verse from the Holy Quran, Prof Iajuddin
said the best ideal for the human beings is Rasul
(SM), as a unique combination of spiritual and
earthly life persists in him.
"Islam is still modern, vigorously life-oriented,
fit for all ages and a centre for solving all
problems, as it is the holy
bondage of harmony of eternal and earthly lives," he
added.
The President termed the publications of the Islamic
Foundation as revolution and praised it for its
activities in
preaching, establishing and expanding the great
ideology of Islam through publications, training for
Imams and conducting mosque- based child education.
The President officially announced the fortnight
long Eid- e- Miladunnabi programme of the Islamic
Foundation open.
Later, special munajat was offered seeking welfare
of the people and prosperity and progress of the
nation.
