Iajuddin expresses satisfaction at Dhaka-Islamabad bilateral relations

Visiting Chief of Air Staff of Pakistan Marshal Tanvir Mahmood Ahmed today called on President Professor Dr Iajuddin Ahmed at Bangabhaban here.

Welcoming the Pakistan Air Force Chief at the Bangabhaban, President Iajuddin expressed his satisfaction at the existing bilateral relations between Dhaka and Islamabad and said the visit of the Pak Air Force Chief would help strengthen the relations further.

He also underscored the need for enhancing cooperation between the two countries in different sectors specially in training exchange programmes.
 

Professor Iajuddin also laid emphasis on expanding education exchange programme between Bangladesh and Pakistan.

The Pakistan Air Chief praised Bangladesh's achievements in different sectors, particularly in reducing poverty, empowering women through providing them with micro-credit and human resources development by making the highest allocation for education sector in the national budget.

Pakistan High Commissioner to Bangladesh Alamgir Babar, Deputy Chief of Pakistan Air Staff Air-Vice Marshal Wasimuddin were present during the meeting.

Military Secretary to the President Major General Mohd Aminul Karim, Secretary of the President's Office Md Sirajul
Islam and Press Secretary Abdul Awal Howlader were also present.
