President Professor Dr Iajuddin Ahmed felicitated the President of Pakistan Parvez Mosharraf on the occasion of the Pakistan Day that falls on March 23. "The relations between Bangladesh and Pakistan are characterized by the warmth of friendship and cooperation. It is my earnest belief that the cordial and friendly relations existing between the two countires would be further strengthened for mutual benefits of our two peoples," President Iajuddin said. He further said, "We are committed to take our relations, through sustained efforts, to greater heights." The President conveyed his best wishes for Pakistan President's good health and for the continued peace, progress and prosperity of the friendly people of Pakistan.
