President Prof Dr Iajuddin Ahmed today expressed the hope that the Red Crescent Society would further expand its activities and services in Bangladesh for the welfare of the distressed and helpless. In a message on the eve of `World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day', the President described the Red Cross and Red Crescent Society as one of the voluntary organizations around the world to the services of the humanity.
Prof Iajuddin Ahmed said the role of Red Cross and Red Crescent Society is being acclaimed worldwide for its humanitarian activities like providing services to the wounded in war fields, saving the lives of calamity-affected people and providing them health services. He wished all success of the day.
