Iajuddin for quality education to make country's independence meaningful

President Professor Dr Iajuddin Ahmed today said the country's independence could be meaningful, if  quality education is ensured for the students.

The President said this when a delegation of the teachers of Professor Dr

Iajuddin Ahmed Residential Model School and College in Munshiganj called on him at Bangabhaban here.


The members of the delegation, led by Principal Lieutenant Colonel Khandaker Farhad Hossain, briefed the President about different academic and extra curricular activities of the institution.

President Iajuddin gave a patient hearing to the members of the delegation. He asked the teachers to devote themselves in imparting quality education to the students.

He said quality education is the foundation of building a worthy nation.

Describing Munshiganj as the birthplace of a large numbers of meritorious and renowned personalities, including Atish Dipanker and Sir Jagadish Chandra Basu, he said the teachers of the educational institute have to work with sincerity in imparting quality education so that their students could be able to brighten the image of the country across the world.

Referring to the opening of the bridge on the river Dhwaleshwari connecting Dhaka with Munshiganj, the  President said the bridge would help expedite economic development of Munshiganj.
