President for digitizing judicial system to lessen people's sufferings

President Zillur Rahman today laid emphasis on making the country's judicial system digitized for lessening the sufferings of the mass people.

The President made the remarks while outgoing Chief Justice M Tafazzul Islam called on him at Bangabhaban here on his last day of office.

During the meeting, the Chief justice apprised the President that he has given necessary instructions to digitalize the judicial system. "Lawyers could be able to know the schedule of their cases from their personal computers after digitizing the judicial system," he added.

The Chief Justice hoped that the e-governance system in the judicial process would greatly help reducing the procrastination of pending cases.

The President lauded the role of the outgoing chief justice for his performance in establishing rule of law in the country.
